To our family of customers,
Family you say? Yes, we consider all our customers family and we recognize that you deserve to be treated like such from our customer support to our premium engineered products. When you purchase Cor-Bon/Glaser premium ammunition you can rest assured that it will perform to your highest expectations. We have researched and use only the finest quality components in the industry from respected companies like Sierra, Barnes, Swift, Leadhead Bullets and Starline Brass. Most of our bullets are made exclusively to our specs. We firmly believe that our quality control is second to none.
New this year is our Premium line of DPX Rifle hunting ammunition. You might be asking yourself, why did it take over twenty years for Cor-Bon/Glaser to produce a line of Rifle Ammunition? Well, frankly, we could not find a big game bullet to satisfy our high standards, until now. We have been waiting for the perfect hunting bullet to associate our name with, and finally found it!
The Barnes Triple Shock. It gives deep penetration, 100% weight retention and unlike most “super premium” bullets, it’s “super accurate”. So, the next time you get ready to go on that hunt of a lifetime, pick up a box of COR®BON’S DPX Rifle ammo, featuring what I feel is the ultimate big game bullet. By the way, If you want to get the best performance out of your “pet rifle”, give my son Pete Jr. a call. He is currently scheduling custom load developments. Pete has the expertise to design the perfect load for that special rifle that doesn’t quite shoot as good as you would like it to. He can formulate a perfect load that will shoot under an inch and will put game down for good with one well-placed shot.
In parting, Our family would like to sincerely thank your family for your continued support of our business the past 24 years, and wish you a safe and successful year. |

My last Elk was taken in Cody, Wyoming in 1980. After 25 continous years of Elk hunting I finally broke the Elk jinks on November 3, 2005. I was hunting the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains outside of Gunnison, Colorado when I spotted a large bull working his way up a deep draw at about 8,000 ft. I ranged him with my Leica 8x rangefinder at 450 yards. As I was across the draw from him I tried to get a little closer, he sensed something wrong and turned and started trotting up hill. He was in thick scrub oak and I did not have a shot until he neared the top of the rise. I ranged him again at 313 yards. I set up my Lex Webernick Custom Light Weight Strata in 300 Weatherby Mag loaded with Cor-Bon DPX ammo made with Barnes 180gr Triple Shock bullets at 3200 on a Stoney Point Bi-Bod. I was sighted in 3 inches high at 100 yards with my Leupold 4.5x14 which but me almost dead on at 300 yards. As the bull stopped and posed broadside I squeezed off a shot right behind the left shoulder. Although he was over 300 yards away I could hear the "Smack" as the bullet found it's home. The bull staggered, turned and fell as he tried to run. He was down before I could work the bolt for another shot. As I approached the bull I felt weak in the knees looking at his massive antlers. I Knew that my 25 year jinks was over and I had a bull of a lifetime. The SCI green score was 340.The Barnes Triple shock entered right behind the left shoulder took out both lungs, broke the right shoulder and exited. The exit hole was huge with massive blood loss. I was extremely pleased with the performance of the Triple Shock bullet and the Cor-Bon DPX ammo. Now I know why I waited over 20 years to market a premium line of Rifle ammo. I was waiting for the ultimate Big game bullet, The Barnes Triple Shock. |
