The 440 CorBon Magnum combines the excellent ballistic coefficient of the 44 caliber bullets with the case capacity of the 50AE. This marriage produces a hyper-velocity cartridge with the advantages of both parents. The bottleneck cartridge is a super idea that produces a hunting round capable of very flat trajectory and amazing down range power. This design works well in single shot pistols or the hefty auto pistols.
Imagine if you will a semi-automatic handgun with an eight round magazine - the power of a 260gr bullet screaming along at over 1400 fps producing 1136ft/lbs of energy at 100 yards. The 400 CorBon cartridge has been adopted by shooters around the world. Its acceptance has been nothing short of amazing. Shooting enthusiasts have purchased a barrel conversion and transformed their favorite 45 ACP pistols to 400 CorBon and are now enjoying the 400's exceptional accuracy, high velocity, and superior self defense stopping power.    
The 400 CorBon is the brain child of bullet maker Peter Pi. While the 400 CorBon wasn’t developed to be a hunting cartridge, it does a good job as a backup gun or side arm against small and medium game. Performance is in the ballpark of the lighter loads in 357 Magnum or 10mm. CorBon loads a 165gr Bonded hollow point bullet that goes out there starting at about 1330 fps. This bullet is considered to be a controlled expansion bullet that opens to give good shocking power and yet maintains its weight to allow the energy to give adequate penetration on a variety of game.

Cor-Bon updated the 265gr to a 250gr Hard Cast load for better accuracy and to accommodate new guns with shorter chambers. The 7.62x39 is loaded with a quality 150gr soft point bullet that can wring out the capabilities of this cartridge and make it a better than average hunting combination. 
The 300 Whisper is an amazing cartridge from the fertile mind of JD Jones. It packs a lot of punch from its misleading size and makes an excellent close-range deer gun that is extremely accurate with very, very modest recoil.
